MAJOR FUNCTIONS Consummate career professional consistently exhibiting strong teaching, human performance consultative skills, knowledge of adult learning theory, professional development, career advising, and teaching ability to, diagnose knowledge, skills, and ability(KSA) gaps, ability to leverage existing resources for programming, such as:
Aetna, EAP, internal employees, and constitutional offices.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES A practitioner who has the strong aptitude and/or proven ability to perform the following job duties:
Orient new talent to the organization's culture and values through the successful innovation, planning and instructional delivery of NEO, updating and implementing changes to the curriculum, as needed.
Design instruction or performance-based interventions for Division work groups or teams and implements them.
Coach staff regarding professional development including performance gaps, options to close performance gaps, and ways to remove impediments to performance.
Develop instruction and instructional guides for select programs such as New Employee Orientation (NEO) and others, to be determined.
Identify, interview, recommend new, diverse faculty members, and align them with the dimensions of well-being.
Identify and leverage no cost and low-cost programming options to conserve programming budget and to maximize overall strategic programming offerings.
Teach adult courses in a credible,influential, and appealing manner.
Proctor classroomand online classes,as needed.
Utilize professional knowledge of SAMHSA'seight domains of wellbeing in recommending and designing balanced academic programming for talent each academic year.
Conceive program topics,confirm faculty dates and requiredclassroom resources.
Conduct research (valid and reliable)and make evidence-based recommendations for academic programming that are aligned with organization's strategic objectives.
Apply knowledge of instructional design and human learning domains as well as human aptitude, human attitudes, interests, and personalities.
and subsequently designs appropriate learning activities when developing instruction.
Co-develop measurable learning objectives with faculty for all programs.
Design course materials, education materials, manuals, participant workbooks, as well as duplication and organization of these materials as needed.
Work with the communication division and other division managers to promote program registrations.
Manage and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate venues, meetings, events, and programs for Emerging Leaders, Succession Management, online and other classroom learning events Research, make recommendations, and implement modifications to classroom environments, both campus-based and online Manage the set-up,breakdown, orderliness, cleanliness, and supplies of the learning facility, as well as other spaces utilized.
Procure inventory and manage suppliesfor division.
Select and work with a variety of vendors to procure event-specific supplies, monitor vendors' performance, communicate expectations, and implement corrective actions, as needed, including finding new vendors.
Manage and maintain confidential information and refrain from discussing details of work and people with others not involved in the business case.
Perform related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Most activities will require the skillful application of knowledge, skills, and abilities in one-on-one professional development talent consultations as well as in the development and execution of academic programming.
Must be a strongcommunicator with superbEnglish speaking, writingand grammar skills.
Skill in inquiry, discernment, and logic Skill in conducting programming research, collecting, interpreting, and reporting findings.
Ability to apply leading practices in the designing, planning, coordination, conducting, monitoring and evaluation of programs and development activities Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other County employees and the public, incorporating leading practices in ethics and all types of diversity.
Ability to successfully drive a variety of projects simultaneously with little direct supervision Ability to make some independent decisions, strong problem solving and communication skills.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in education, Organization Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Higher Education, Human Development, or Industrial Psychology and minimum of three (3) years of professional experience which must have been in an organizational development, training, education, or professional development capacity.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver's license at the time of employment within this classification.
SPECIAL PREFERENCE Master's degree in education in Organization Development, or a closely relatedfield SPECIAL REQUIREMENT This positionmay be required to report for work when a declaration of emergency has been declared in Polk County.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
